HERE ARE A SELECTION OF THE CLIENTS WE WORK WITH:

ASOS

We have been providing ASOS with regional ethical trade support throughout its main sourcing regions since 2011. Our in-country teams map and risk-assess the supply chain, undertake factory assessments, run factory improvement programmes and deliver training. ASOS also used our SUPPLYTALK survey tool to help understand and strengthen its supplier relationships. TRN worked with ASOS on the development of its animal welfare policy and programme which has received recognition from a number of animal welfare organisations.

FATFACE

We supported FatFace to set up and embed its ethical trade programme, advising on strategy and policy development, carrying out supply chain mapping, undertaking factory assessments, identifying key areas for improvement, conducting buyer training workshops and producing management reports. The Reassurance Network represented FatFace at the Ethical Trading Initiative and the Bangladesh Accord on Fire and Building Safety. We also helped FatFace develop an animal welfare policy, and supporting implementation materials.

HUNTER BOOTS

Hunter Boots has commissioned The Reassurance Network to carry out labour standards and working practices audits at all of its European factories to ensure they continue to meet high ethical trading standards.

GANGMASTER LICENSING AUTHORITY

In 2005, The GLA invited The Reassurance Network to join a small select group of organisations participating in a pilot scheme to test a new framework to regulate employment agencies in the food and agriculture sectors in the UK. The framework is now used to verify UK labour suppliers. We worked closely with the GLA throughout its early years, helping to shape the methods used to check and certify employment agencies. We are currently working with industry partners to develop and pilot a new method for assessing labour providers.

JAPAN TOBACCO INTERNATIONAL (JTI)

We have been a trusted advisor to JTI since 2001. Initially we helped develop a global Code of Conduct and build an effective compliance function, including setting up an internal hotline for employees to raise concerns. Since 2012 we have been working closely with JTI’s Global Leaf function to create an industry-leading Agricultural Labour Practices programme to monitor and improve labour practices on over 40,000 farms in Africa, South America, Europe and Turkey. We helped to develop an Agricultural Labour Practices Standard, built systems for farm assessments and provided regional training workshops for over 360 employees who monitor labour practices during farm visits.

MULBERRY

We have provided factory audits for Mulberry since 2011, helping to monitor and improve factories in China, Turkey and the UK.

PRIMARK

We have carried out over 5,000 factory audits for Primark in China, Europe, Turkey and the UK since 2008, helping to map, monitor and improve working conditions within its supply chain. We also deliver ethical trade training to Primark’s buying teams.

RIVER ISLAND

We worked closely with the executive management team at River Island to develop its ethical trade strategy and policy. As part of this process we used SUPPLYTALK to review River Island’s supplier relationships and to identify opportunities for improvement. We also provide River Island with regional ethical trade support in its main sourcing regions, helping suppliers and factories to improve working conditions.
