Charter
The Reassurance Network has completed a number of projects for Charter International plc (Charter) - the owner of two international engineering businesses; one focused on welding, cutting and automation (ESAB) and the other on air and gas handling (Howden).
We helped Charter to compile information on its corporate responsibilities and to communicate these through its annual report and website. This involved gaining a detailed understanding of Charter's business, its key social and environmental impacts, and becoming familiar with the industry it operates in.
We also completed a wider review of Charter's CR policies, systems and management. By completing an internal review (through the reporting process and further research) and an external review (through industry research and benchmarking) we were able to help Charter understand its key responsibilities and how it compares to competitors and industry leaders. This led to us working with the senior management team to develop a clear CR strategy.
