The National Australia Bank is the 17th largest bank in the world, operating across 10 countries and serving over 8 million customers. The Reassurance Network carried out a global assurance assignment for NAB covering Australia, New Zealand and its UK banking operations. Our work took into consideration the prior work of NAB's Internal Audit, in setting out a verified and reliable baseline of data against which NAB could report performance in future years. Our outputs included a formal assurance statement in the NAB Group Corporate Responsibility Report plus a detailed management review, highlighting areas of strength and opportunities for improvement. As well as providing reassurance on the accuracy of the Report, our input had a significant role in developing the Bank's management systems for collecting and reporting sustainability data.
