PRUPIM, the property investment management arm of Prudential Plc, has over £15 billion of assets under its management. PRUPIM sought The Reassurance Network's advice on how to embed Corporate Responsibility into the core of its operations.

We were initially asked to assess the company's current CR programme, identifiying its strengths and weaknesses, as well as any related opportunities. The research was presented in a report that set out recommendations for implementing a long-term strategy, covering core areas of Corporate Responsibility impacted by changing legislation and regulation, as well as those that would provide significant business opportunities, such as environmental property management and sustainable investment. The report also identified practical initiatives and workstreams designed to help embed each area of the strategy within the company.

PRUPIM commissioned the Network to review the strategy two years later in order to determine progress made against the strategic plan, particularly any successes and failures, and also to identify any emerging risks and opportunities. We provided the management team with a summary of PRUPIM's current position and outlined the emerging issues and associated costs and benefits to the company. The strategic plan was then updated according to these findings.
