Benchmark
A benchmark is a measure of a company's performance in a certain area, against another company, or a group of companies. 'Benchmarking' is the process by which this occurs and is often done against many businesses to gauge how well a company is doing relative to its competitors. It is a commonly used tool in Corporate Responsibility.
