Lifecycle Assessment

Lifecycle Assessment

A lifecycle assessment is a method of assessing the impacts of a product or business, by looking at the full life of a product (i.e. from 'farm to fork' for food, or from mine to waste for some other goods). This is a useful technique that is often used to try and cut down unnecessary negative impacts of a business' supply chain. By following the full chain of production, consumption and post-consumption one gets to see every component of a product's life.
