Socially Responsible Investment (SRI)

Socially Responsible Investment (SRI)

Socially responsible investment is the type of investment that takes into account not only the potential returns on investment, but also how socially responsible the company that is invested in may be. The degree to which this is done varies. Some SRI funds will have very strict criteria as to what they will and will not invest in, while others may just pledge to avoid investment in more controversial industries such as tobacco and arms.
