The Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC)
The EICC is an electronics industry body that promotes an industry code of conduct for global supply chains in the electronics industry. The coalition includes many of the leading electronics companies (HP, Apple, IBM and Microsoft), and also provides other resources to help businesses that operate in the sector.
The standards laid out in the Industry Code of Conduct are specific to electronics companies but are in fact largely applicable to other sectors. The standards fall into the following categories:
- Labour
- Health and Safety
- Environmental
- Management Systems
- Ethics
